An unforgettable day at London Pride

Mitie had the privilege of participating in this year’s London Pride Parade, which took place in June. London’s streets were alive with colour, music, and an overwhelming sense of unity as the city celebrated Pride Day.

A day of celebration and unity

London Pride Day isn’t just a parade; it’s a celebration of love, diversity, and inclusion. Colleagues from across our business attended to represent Mitie and the values we stand for.

When the team reflected on their experience of the day, these were their takeaways:

  • The power of inclusion: Participating in London Pride underscored the importance of cultivating an inclusive workplace. We witnessed firsthand how acceptance and support can transform lives and build stronger communities.
  • Building connections: The parade provided a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues, clients, and the broader community. It highlighted the importance of fostering relationships based on mutual respect and understanding.
  • Celebrating individuality: Pride is all about celebrating who you are. Acknowledging and valuing all our unique identities contributes to a richer, more diverse organisational culture.
  • The joy of participation: Being part of such a joyous event brought immense satisfaction and pride. It reminded us that while work is important, so is coming together to celebrate milestones and achievements as a community.
